Stables of Fieldcrest

History of the Farm

Welcome to The Stables of Fieldcrest!

Our farm was created in the fall of 2005 with two paint weanlings.  We decided to  create a breeding farm for show horses, but first purchased these two young horses to rekindle horsemanship lessons and responsibilities for ourselves.  Our love for Morgan Horses and our children's love for Quarter Horses gave birth to a whole new venture in our lives.

Our interest in horses began with Tim's grandfather, Henry Selinsky, who had "Selinsky's Educated Horses" in the early 1950's.  He showed his horses with the Chicago Fair when they came into Canton, Ohio to perform.

Tim's father, Alva (Bub), also showed and raised  Morgan horses in the 1960's and 1970's.  Tim and Carol were high school sweethearts then, but Tim's handling of his fathers horses put a love in his heart for horses, working with them, and getting good results.  Soon after we were married, we kept some of Tim's father's horses at our home.

Years passed, children were born and raised, Tim ran a successful Heavy Machinery Moving Co. called Henry A. Selinsky, Inc.....Now, looking for a retirement business, we have decided to dedicate a part of our lives to running a Breeding Farm for Show Horses. We have Quarter Horses and Morgans. We are striving for quality rather than quantity and are very particular about pairing our great mares with stallions that will compliment the foals to be born. Most of the stallions we use have been World Champions in their own right.   We are breeding to improve the breeds we work with.  Movement, Movement, Movement, Build, Conformation, Size, Pedigree, and Temperament are all  extremely important to us.

We started out with two great Quarter Horse broodmares from Nebraska, and we have grown over the last few years.  We now have  eight broodmares on location.   We have had foals in 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010.  Our continuing efforts have now positioned us to be able to offer  top quality 3 year olds, 2 year olds, yearlings, and weanlings for sale.

Let us introduce you to your next World Champion!
